INTRODUCTION
The Departments of: Mathematics Physics and Computer Science was established in June 2011 when the School of Science and Aerospace Studies was established.
The Vice Chancellor on 22nd January 2013 appointed Head of Department to administratively manage the Departments of Statistics and Computer Science. These departments were to offer courses in Statistics, Actuarial Science and Computer Science. The Department also offers service teaching to other schools in the University
The Department currently offers Ph.D. and M.Sc. programmes in Statistics and Biostatistics by coursework, examination and thesis. The Department is world research work leader in Schlaflian Vectors and Matrices Representation for Rotatability of Experimental Design points in Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and Kronecker Product Representation for measuring Rotatability of Experimental Design points in Optimal Design Theory (ODT) where Prof J.K. Arap Koske is the lead researcher in the two areas in the world.
